Bloomsburg University This course provides participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to emergency situations and minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness until advanced medical help arrives. The content includes: checking an ill or injured person, care for shock, sudden illness (fainting, diabetic emergencies, seizures, stroke, poisoning, heat or cold related emergencies), bleeding, burns and fractures. Upon completion of the course, participants will receive an authorized certificate from the American Red Cross which is valid for 2 years.
